Pastor Johnson and his wife, Sali, of Love India Mission Church (Goa, India ) have long held a desire to open a centre to help needy children. The pastor himself was brought up in a children’s home, so has first hand knowledge of the importance of providing children with a secure and loving environment.

In Dec 2006, the pastor and his wife were asked if they were able to take care of three abandoned children. They rented a small property for the children to stay in and Love India Charitable Trust (LICT) was launched in January 2007.
